Merton wins on walk-off homer
Winning pitcher Sam Mulkey hit a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the ninth Sunday as host Merton rallied past Oconomowoc in a Land O' Lakes Western Division game, 8-7.
Other games Sunday saw Sussex down Hartland 9-4, West Bend defeat the Brookfield Blue Sox 12-5, Pewaukee stop North Lake on a no-hitter, 8-0, Monches edge Lannon 2-1 and the Brookfield BUlldogs stop Menomonee Falls in 10 innings, 9-8.
Pewaukee used three different pitchers in getting a no-hitter. Eric Schmitz pitched six innings and struck out 13 batters. Ben Walljasper worked two innings and fanned two and Adam Dominick pitched the ninth. Kur Sarcia had two hits and three RBIs for the Muskies.
