AHS golfers earn state meet berth
Arrowhead's boys golf team, coached by Greg Budzien, won the Waukesha West WIAA Division 1 sectional Wednesday at Morningstar Golfers Club in Waukesha and earned a berth into next Monday and Tuesday's state tournament.
Matt Ross and Matt McIntosh shot rounds of 71 to tie for medalist honors with TJ Podner of Hartford. Ross won the title with a birdie on the first playoff hole, the par-4 10th.
Other AHS scores were Paul Lyons with 72, John Langhoff 76 and Connor Thiel 81.
Kettle Moraine finished third, missing a state spot by one spot and 8 strokes .Ryan Franklin led KM with 74. Other Laser scores were Dylan Patscot with 75, Ross Baker 77, Mike Chase 86 and Nick Cieslak 86.
