Mulkey, Merton mow down Pewaukee
Led by a four-hit, 14 strikeout performance by pitcher Sam Mulkey, the host Merton Land O' Lakes Western Division baseball team stopped Pewaukee Sunday, 4-1. Mulkey and Merton stopped Pewaukee last week by a 2-1 score.
Other games Sunday saw Menomonee Falls stop Lannon 8-0, Oconomowoc whip Hartland 14-5, Brookfield Bulldogs blank Monches 5-0, Sussex edge the Brookfield Blue Sox 8-6 and West Bend down North Lake 10-6.
On Wednesday , Pewaukee defeated host Lannon, 7-4 in 10 innings. In that game, Pewaukee pitcher Adam Dominick struck out 16 batters in nine innings of work.
