Vehicle smashes into roundabout sculpture
On Sept. 23, at 3 a.m., a 32-year-old Town of Oconomowoc man, driving a 2005 Lexus SUV was westbound on East Wisconsin Avenue and failed to negotiate the roundabout. The vehicle crashed into the sculpture, flipped onto its side and struck the brick light display. The driver was trapped insid the vehicle and had to be extricated by the Oconomowoc Fire Department,
The driver suffered no apparent injuries and alcohol was a facor in the crash. The driver was cited for first offense drunken driving.
