Pewaukee cage teams win
Pewaukee's two varsity basketball teams both scored victories Tuesday night.
The host PHS girls team edged Slinger, 44-42. Freshman Abby Gerrits led the Pirates with 16 points and junior Danielle Jasinski chipped in with 12 tallies. Sarah Caccese added 8 rebounds for the winners.
The visiting Pewaukee boys team downed Thomas More, 72-59. PHS never trailed in the final three periods.
Eric Lutzen scored 17 points to lead the Pirates and added 11 rebounds. Dave Girmscheid chipped in with 13 points and Jordan Hass had 9 points.
