Hawks roll in league opener
Arowhead senior Brian Crook returned the opening kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown Friday nightas the host AHS varsity football team whipped Mukwonago in the Classic 8 Conference opener for both teams, 35-9.
Later in the first half, AHS (2-0) got touchdowns from Derek Landisch on a 2-yard run, Tom Parish on a 7-yard run, Parish on an 11-yard run and Adam Sandstrom on a 13-yard pass from Parish.
AHS led 35-3 at halftime, but did not score in the second half. Mukwonago scored on a 60-yard fumble recovery by junior Ryan Crawley with 4:22 to play.
