Hamilton edged out by WAC
The Sussex Hamilton wrestling team, engaging in a battle that could have been billed as a conference-title clash, fell to West Allis Central on Thursday night, 33-27.
The senior-dominated Bulldogs rebounded after Hamilton's Matt Blackwell gave his team an exciting 21-19 win at 215 pounds, registering a pin in 5:41, with five matches to go. Alex Schwid (130) and Dan Thompson (189) finished with pins as well.
Other wins came from Nick Knoebel (135), Hunter Lau (103) and Bobby Holzem (125).
