Country Bliss problems continue
Town of Mukwonago – The Town Board will have to re-think its decision to use community block grant funds to refill Country Bliss basements after the state denied that request earlier this month. Now town officials are drafting a new resolution directing Dubey to request engineering proposals for an alternative solutions report and their respective costs. Residents interested in speaking to the Town Board about the community block grant for the Country Bliss drainage issue should attend Wednesday's 6:30 p.m. board meeting. According to a Jan. 14 letter from Dubey to the Town Board, there will be no public comment period at the town’s Jan. 27 special board meeting. There will not be any public comment period at the beginning of tonight’s meeting, either. "In anticipation of possible lengthy public comment at the Town Board meeting on Jan. 20, 2010, I have removed the public comment period from the beginning of the meeting and kept only the public comment at the end of the meeting," the letter states. "This will allow us to excuse the town staff so that we don’t have to pay them for this possible lengthy session."
