Big run helps AHS boys roll past West
Thanks to an impressive 21-1 run in the second period Friday night, Arrowhead's varsity boys basketball team rallied from an early 10-point deficit to roll past visiting Waukesha West in a Classic 8 Conference game, 68-48.
With the win AHS improved to 13-2 on the season. West fell to 12-4.
West had an 18-8 lead with 6:43 remaining in the opening half when the Warhawks reeled off 15 straight points to take the lead. By the time the Arrowhead run ended, the Warhawks had a 21-1 spurt that the Wolverines never recovered from.
Senior center Ben Mills had 16 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Russ Finco and Andy Fox had 13 each and Charlie Fischer had 8.
West was led by Dan Cerroni with 15 points and Ryan Solberg with 14. Solberg also had 10 rebounds.
