Arrowhead, Mukwonago wrestling teams eliminated
Arrowhead started the day on a brilliant note but wound up falling to West Allis Central in a WIAA Division 1 sectional at Homestead on Tuesday, 34-27.
Al Yde recorded a tech fall at 160 and Shane Hughes won at 171 over Dan Diebitz, a wrestler entering the match with one loss. Aaron Pomeroy added a pin, and the Warhawks had a 14-0 lead before the Bulldogs battled back into the match.
Twice, the Warhawks were pinned with leads -- Central's Nate Keaton pinned Mark Landsgaard at 112 and Jake Sargent caught Matt Hoffmann at 125.
Other Arrowhead wins came from Andrew Crone, Jake Sueflohn and Adam Yde.
Mukwonago lost to Muskego at Elkhorn, 45-30. Winners for the Indians were Chase Gorse, Jordan Treuer, Ryan Aprahamian, Mayson Madden and Damon King.
