All-American music fills the night air at Lapham Peak.
Our vast nation with its natural beauty and hard-working people has inspired composers such as Scott Joplin, Count Basie and Irving Berlin to create music infused with patriotism and passion. If you want to hear the great American standards from the last century that will fill you with pride and joy don't miss The Lake Country Companion: The Saga of American Music. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 12, and 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 13, at the SummerStage in Lapham Peak State Park on Highway C south of I-94. Tickets are $15, half-price for ages 13-17, and free for children 12 and under when accompanied by a parent. Seating is festival style, so bring a chair, blanket and bug spray.
