Mukwonago is going to the dogs!
It’s the dog days of summer, so what better way to enjoy it than at A Dog Day Afternoon. Pooches and their owners will find more to do at the event than there are kibbles in a dog bowl. The canine fun takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 17, at The Mukwonago Food Pantry, 325 Eagle Lake Ave., Mukwonago. Sponsored by Barney’s Blessings Pet Food Pantry, the event includes games and contests for dogs, $5 nail trim clinic, Bishon and Little Buddies Rescue, a kids' area, bake sale, crafts and basket raffles. Stay for the whole day and buy a hot dog lunch that comes with a soda and chips. All good dogs on leashes are welcome to come and play for the day.
