Two new principals have joined the Kettle Moraine School District. Here's a salutation from each of them as they begin their first school year here.

Dianna Kresovic, Magee principal

"I am very excited for the opportunity to be the principal at Magee Elementary," said Kresovic who has been a principal for three years at an elementary school in Oconomowoc, and before that a reading specialist and classroom teacher in Sussex.

"I have a strong commitment to family. As I watch my own children grow, I appreciate their individuality and unique perspectives, something I cherish about all kids. Magee is an extension of my family and I intend to value each individual child, teacher and family," she said.

Kresovic said she comes to Magee, "with an open mind and an open heart.

"I know that the Magee staff is doing wonderful things for kids. I want to observe, learn, and honor what they already do. I will bring unique expertise and opportunities to our wonderful school and will promote the process of reflection, decision-making, and innovation," said Kresovic noting literacy is a passion of hers that she looks forward to sharing with the Kettle Moraine community.

"I am here to ensure that your children receive a quality educational program and that they feel safe and comfortable in their school. Magee is our school and I look forward to the school year ahead."

Greg Gentle, Cushing principal

"Hello to all Kettle Moraine families and staff. I am thrilled to become a member of such an amazing school community," said Gentle.

While he is new to Cushing, he is not new to the area. Gentle is an Oconomowoc native and graduate of University Lake School.

"I have spent the majority of my adult life in the Twin Cities, enjoying the hustle and bustle of the city while teaching for Minneapolis Public Schools. I believe in a balanced life. While not working, I enjoy cycling, fishing, reading and spending time with family and friends," he said.

Gentle believes Cushing is an exciting and thriving place and added, "How we teach is just as important as what we teach. My goal is to support the continuous improvement efforts in place to transform Cushing Elementary and our district into a 21st Century learning environment without boundaries for our students.

"My experience in workshop teaching, interest in implementing transformative technology in the classroom, and understanding of the importance of social and emotional learning will help me guide Cushing from a great school to an extraordinary place to learn and work," Gentle concluded.
