Wold found competent to stand trial

Darren Wold, accused of hiring a man to kill his ex-girlfriend, has been found competent to stand trial, according to Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel.
Earlier this month, concerns over Wold’s mental state prompted attorney Anthony Rosario to request Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge James Kieffer to order Wold to undergo a mental evaluation. Rosario said he was concerned about Wold’s ability to assist him after a severe decline in Wold’s health. Rosario said there were noticeable changes to his client.
Dr. Robert Rawski, a court-appointed psychologist, examined Wold and reported that Wold was competent, according to Schimel. The report is listed as confidential, according to a courthouse employee.
