Bank closed, police collecting evidence

Sussex - Police are collecting what appears to be evidence from a car parked on Orchard Drive a street near Associated Bank, N64 W23710 Main St., after a suspected robbery was reported at the bank around 10 a.m.

Lake Country Publications photographer Todd Ponath said a police evidence van is parked nose to nose with a car parked on Orchard Drive. Ponath said an officer walked from the car with bags that could be evidence related to suspects.

Ponath said a Waukesha County Sheriff's squad remains on Orchard Drive blocking the street from traffic. However, Main Street is open and pedestrians and cars are going about their day. The bank remains closed.

Waukesha County Sheriff's deputies from Sussex, Lisbon and Pewaukee are on scene as well as the Lannon Police Department.
