Man says he used heroin for toothache

Kevin A. Sossaman, 23, of Ixonia told police he used heroin to ease pain from a bad tooth after being found unconscious on March 20.

According to the criminal complaint, City of Oconomowoc police were called March 20 at about for an unconscious person, Sossaman, in a vehicle.

Police found a needle mark on Sossaman and seized a metal tin that appeared to be used for cooking heroin as well as the drug itself. Sossaman’s friend was in possession of a needle who told police he found in the car, the complaint said.
Sossaman told police the needle and heroin was his and that he used the drug because of tooth pain “and needed to take the edge off,” the complaint said.

Sossaman was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court March 21 for possessing the drug. He is scheduled to appear in court March 28 for a hearing.
