Hartland man killed in cycle crash
A 42-year-old Hartland man was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday in the City of Pewaukee.
According to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, deputies and personnel from the City of Pewaukee Fire Department responded to a call on Capitol Drive west of Yench Road at about 7:25 p.m. The Flight for Life helicopter also responded, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was found lying next to his motorcycle in a yard on the north side of the road; he was not wearing a helmet, said Lt. Lisa Panas of the Sheriff’s Department.
The department’s initial investigation indicates that the motorcycle was westbound on Capitol when the driver lost control, and the cycle slid down the roadway, coming to rest in a yard. Speed appears to be a factor. The incident remains under investigation.
The man’s name was not available.
