Driver coming to Lake Country
Green Bay Packer Donald Driver -- winner of "Dancing with the Stars" -- will be at the second annual Champions in Giving recognition and celebration on Friday, July 13, presented by the United Way in Waukesha County.
The event is sponsored by Jerry and Judie Couri of Couri Insurance, and will be outdoors at the residence of Jim Lindenberg, owner of the Milwaukee Wave.
It is an acknowledgement of those who generously contributed at the leadership level of $1,000 or more during the 2011 campaign.
In his second appearance at the event, Driver will speak at the event. As a child whose family was homeless for some time, he is committed to eliminating homelessness, and dedicated to giving back through the Donald Driver Foundation and serving as a national spokesperson for United Way.
The event will include a question-and-answer period with Driver, in addition to a live auction selling Green Bay Packer memorabilia.
