Oconomowoc FD evaluating area before lifting burn ban
While some area communities have begun to lift burn bans after recent rains, the City of Oconomowoc Fire Department is still evaluating its area.
According to a post on the department's Facebook page, officials are not ready to lift the ban just yet.
"The DNR just updated the page showing we are at a "Low" risk now, probably due to the storms that went through. We will see if it stays low, if so, we can lift the ban! As of now we need to evaluate the conditions in our area before we do anything," read a comment posted on the page Thursday morning.
