What issues are most important to you in considering who to vote for in the upcoming elections?
Why are there no comments potsed? Is *Everyone's* comments being rejected? Why does it say May 2, 2011 under the topic title on the comment page? Why cant we all just get along?
(there; you fixed it. Good) One thing is for certain; the polarization in this country will only get worse, no matter who wins. In the long run *TAHTS* the most important issue, IMHO, as it could wreck our national fabric.
Obama was given a chance and failed. If he was in the private sector he would have been fired long ago. I'm not 100% behind Romney, but I believe he can lead the country out of our economic doldrums. I not expecting Reagan-esque results, but belief in America must be restored. PLEASE VOTE!
If you look at what each candidate has accomplished professionally and politically - Romney is the best choice for America. If you look at what they personally have contributed to charities and how they treat others - Romney is the best choice for America. If you like the fact that gas prices have gone from about $1.86 per gallon in 08 to about $3.29 now and food prices keep going up and you want to continue being dependent on foreign oil - Obama is your guy. If you like more debt and money being printed which has proven to lead to hyperinflation Obama is your guy. If you liked being lied to about the Benghazi attack Obama is your guy.
One issue in this campaign is greed. The real greed is from those who use government to help themselves This is is unfettered human nature and why the goal should be less government. Obama has presided over a large expansion of government which drains money and resources from the people in the private sector. Besides taxes, he has borrowed trillions that will have to be paid back in the future. To help cover government spending, the fed has "printed" dollars, which by lessening the value of the dollar, steals from savers and will hurt those who depend on savings for their retirement. Politicians like Obama confuse their own desire for power with public policy and use our money to buy votes for re-election.
Will our country end keep the rule of law under the Constitution or will we be ruled by men who hold themselves above the law. President Obama has taken ignoring the law of the land to new levels. He's appointed czars to run the affairs of government. He ignores laws passes by Congress to do what he wants by fiat. He spends money not appropriated in a budget. He claims executive privilege or stalls to avoid cooperating with Congress in their investigations of the deaths arising from Fast & Furious and Benghazi and Camp Bastian. He ignores the First Amendment in order to force Catholics to violate their consciences. The laws he does support are ones that give more power to the federal government and take it away from the people and states.

Romney is not my first pick, but he is a conservative. I am hoping that Romney will finally Eliminate the Liberal Infestation in this country. (Way too much immigration from non-Europe.) As Americans Know, our Founders did not establish this as some sort of liberal playground of trickle-down government of Communism and Nazism because it goes against the very Christian values that our Founders fought for. I pray that Jesus finds the way into a liberals heart and gets Romney elected so we can take back and restore America.
Neither Obama or Romney - there are other candidates but you obviously don't know that. Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson (my choice) is on the ballot in 48 states, Green Party candidate Jill Stein is on the ballot in 38 states and there are others.
For the life of me, I simply cannot understand the reasoning behind a vote for Gov. Romney. Why in the good Lords name would anyone WANT to go back to the economic policies that produced the worst economic contraction since the GREAT DEPRESSION? Oh, and the reason for that $1.86/gallon gas? Because the Bush economy was CONTRACTING, as in -8.6%. We were literally "falling off the cliff" when President Obama took office. Does any one who is considering voting for Romney remember that?
Facts are facts: the CBO estimates that the Obama Administration's "stimulus" program saved between 1.5 and 3 million jobs. If you look at the period that "stimulus" funds were dispersed, job creation in this country accelerated, and only petered out after disbursement ended. As for health care reform, Obama has been consistent. In his book, "The Audacity of Hope", he stated that he would not pursue a Canadian-style insurance reform, nor a UK-style full-on socialized medicine solution...rather, a market-based solution. Indeed, his plan is "RomneyCare" without regard to state boundaries, and is almost identical to the Republican 1993 alternative to "HilaryCare". Finally, Obama has prosecuted the war against terrorists to the full, killing Bin Laden. Obama deserves a 2nd Term. Mr. Hayette's statements are offensive and anti-American, as well as anti-intellectual. There is a large Christian nation which resides in this secular nation-state we call the US. There is NO MENTION of a god in The Constitution...indeed, there is a prohibition against a religious test for office. Finally, many "Founding Fathers" were not what we would call Christian: Jefferson wrote a Bible without the miracle mumbo-jumbo, and in the 1797 Treaty of Tripoli, passed unanimously by the Senate, it states the United States is "in no way a Christian Nation...". Facts can be SO inconvenient....
Voting Romney in will be a mess that America may never recover from. We have always had the best job creation under Democrats its a fact. To say Romney would create jobs faster is an opinion not a fact. Romney is for deregulation of the tax code for companies. He has spent his entire career exploiting the tax code and bankruptcy laws in America. He is not liked in the state he was governor he is losing to Obama by over 20 points. And Democrats head to head with Republican presidents have created nearly twice as many jobs.... 24 million repubs 48 million Dems.... Liars figure but the figures don't lie... Romney is a mistake that we cant afford

I feel that Governor Romney wants to help the people at the top of the wage scale and really is not concerned about the middle or lower income people. Also, I do not trust him as he says one thing to one group and changes his views for the next group. President Obama, although not perfect, I feel he cares about all the people and I trust that he really believes what he is proposing.
