Kindergartners find their zen with yoga
Kindergarten students at Ixonia Elementary are noticeably more balanced after their teacher decided to have them try some yoga.
Jennifer Ellis said she introduced yoga to her students to help them build their core and gross motor skills. Ellis said the yoga also helps the students' focus and attention span.
Said Ellis, “Since we began, I have noticed that yoga has had a calming effect and allows students to better focus on their tasks.” She added, “It has really built our classroom ‘family’ and given students success as a team.”
