Oconomowoc's Irish pub readying to reopen
City of Oconomowoc - Popular downtown spot, The Pub, is anticipating reopening the weekend of Oct. 26 after months of cleanup and renovations.
The Irish restaurant and bar sustained severe smoke and water damage after neighboring building, Stapleton Realty, caught fire on July 1. Sharon Phillips who lived upstairs died of smoke inhalation and another sustained major injuries after jumping from her apartment window, but recovered. That woman, Mary Dollack, is the sous chef at The Pub. Owners Aelred and Bernie Gannon are excited that Dollack will be joining them to celebrate their business' reopening.
They have gutted the entire inside and are excited to share some new changes to the quaint downtown destination.
Watch for their story in Tuesday's Oconomowoc Focus.
