Winter farmers market continues Sunday, new vendors added
Join the Oconomowoc Chamber and Greener Oconomowoc on the second and fourth Sundays in (Jan. 13 and 27) for the third season of the Oconomowoc indoor winter farmers market. The market is inside the Oconomowoc Landscape Supply and Garden Center’s greenhouse, N68 W37850 Highway K, Oconomowoc.
In addition to seasonal producers featured in 2012 at the Oconomowoc Winter Farmers’ Market, the market announced several new vendors for the January through March markets.
New vendors include: Marks Sweet Stuff (salsas and sauces), Doug’s Prairie Kitchen (handcrafted marinara and chili sauce), LuAnn’s Homemade Butters (multiple flavors of honey butter – Cinnamon, Strawberry, and Cranberry), Witte’s Vegetable Farm (seasonally available fresh produce – carrots, lettuce, spinach, beets, leek, brussel sprouts, cabbage, parsnips, etc).
New to the 2013 markets will also be Amy’s Delight, offering Alterra coffees, tea, apple cider and hot chocolate.
The January educational programs will feature experts that can help you to learn more about healthy eating and how to incorporate local ingredients into your diet.
From 11 to 11:30 on Sunday, Jan. 13, Waterhouse Foods will present “How to Make Bread Demonstration." Learn the basics of slow-rise bread making. See each step in the process and learn a little science.
From 10 to 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27, Dr. TJ Rinaldi, Clinic Director Milwaukee Chiropractic Group presents “Chiropractic Cooking – Healthy Eating” and from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. Steppin’ Out Foods LLC offers “Unique Food Ideas for People & Dogs We Care About.”
