No threat found in search of KM High School
A search of Kettle Moraine High School by the Milwaukee and Waukesha County sheriff's departments turned up no evidence of any threat, according to a voice message from high school principal Jeff Walters that went out to parents.
A bomb threat led district officials to call off last night's after-school activities at the high school and neighboring Wales Elementary. Classes and after-school activities were also canceled for today.
The school was secured after the search last night, Walters said.
The school will reopen tomorrow, Friday. Walters said the closure will not affect students' ability to complete semester exams. Exams were scheduled for Wednesday through Friday this week. Thursday's exams have been rescheduled for Friday.
Students should talk to teachers with any questions or concerns they have.
Walters encouraged parents to visit the school website, kmsd.edu, for additional information about the adjusted schedule, lunch choices and the possibility of makeup exam opportunities on Monday.
Walters said the safety of students remains a top priority for the district, not just today, but every day.
