Foundation gives $50,000 grant to ProHealth's AngelsGrace
ProHealth Care’s AngelsGrace Hospice recently received a $50,000 grant from the Theodore W. Batterman Family Foundation, based in Madison to support the special medication needs of patients.
“These funds help support the costs of highly-specialized medication often needed by our patients at the end of their lives. Oftentimes these medications are not covered by insurance,” explained Robert Walters, Director of ProHealth Home Care and Hospice. “Grants from organizations such as the Batterman Family Foundation help us to keep our promise to serve anyone who comes to us, regardless of their financial circumstances.”
Since 2004, AngelsGrace Hospice has celebrated and affirmed the lives of more than 2,200 patients who spent their final days there. The dedicated staff provides compassionate care for patients and also supports the family members and friends who share their loved ones last days.
