Woman tired of poor Mary Todd Lincoln portrayals does own research, writes own script
Actress Jessica Michna spent two years researching Mary Todd Lincoln and poured over hundreds of drafts of a script until she reached "perfection." She will perform her one-woman drama, “Mary Todd Lincoln: The Whitehouse Era” at the Delafield Public Library at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 28.
"I just got tired of seeing reenactments of her that were not really even performances, but her only standing there beside President Lincoln," said Michna.
