Flu closes Hartland South
Hartland South Elementary School will be closed until Monday because of an excessive number of students out ill.
About 43 percent of the school's 405 students were out sick Tuesday morning, when the Waukesha County Health Department made the decision to close the school. Parents were notified via voicemail messages that they could pick up their children early today. Students who are not picked up will be sent home as usual at the end of the day on school buses.
The school is expected to remain closed until Monday.
The two other schools in the Hartland-Lakeside district will remain open.
