KM students lead their educational journey through pilot program
Some kindergarten students balance Netbooks on their laps while a group sits with dinosaur erasers spread on the floor as they work on creating a board game. One student works at a Smart Board while a teacher pulls a bag of clay out for someone's project. Fifth-graders use iTouch to create video thank you notes for a presenter who visited the school while classmates check math work using a personal response system.
Funk Road will soon be history
Sadly, the name of one of the oldest roads in the Town of Merton will soon be changed, thanks to a number of sign thefts. Hereafter, Funk Road will be known to all newcomers as East Kilbourn Road.

The Beer Depot set to reopen
City of Pewaukee - The Beer Depot, located at the intersection of Prospect and Elm Avenues in Pewaukee, will reopen after an extended absence. The local liquor store and delicatessen and has been a staple for Pewaukee residents for decades and has seen various owners over the years. The new owner, Patrick Michker, who has lived near the store for more than 25 years, hopes to resurrect the establishment and continue on in the traditions of past ownership.
