Farrow wins 98th, but will leave for Senate

Waukesha County reported 22,358 votes for incumbent Paul Farrow (R) and 9,338 votes for newcomer Eric Prudent (D), but the seat will likely remain vacant. Farrow also won the primary for the vacant 33rd State Senate seat. A general election for that seat is slated for December, but no Democrat filed for the election.

Prudent congratulated fellow Democrats in Wisconsin after the election, saying they "have worked tirelessly to make sure that our country keeps moving in the right direction." He also congratulated Farrow and wished him the best for the 33rd State Senate seat.

"I also want to thank everyone that has supported my campaign. This includes my staff, my volunteers, my contributors, and everyone else that has backed me in this monumental race. We're all in this together, and I look forward to continuing my fight for Wisconsinites in the future," Prudent said.

A special election to fill the Assembly seat will likely take place next spring. Gov. Scott Walker has yet to announce the official date for that election.
