Area man faces sexual assault charges
Two counts of second degree sexual assault have been filed in Waukesha County Circuit Court against a Pewaukee man who allegedly touched two women while they slept.
According to the criminal complaint, filed Dec. 5, on Aug. 18, three women, ages 41, 35 and 32, were staying a boathouse rented by some friends in the Town of Oconomowoc and the father of one of the women.
The 41-year-old woman told police that she was awake until 3 a.m. and then went into the boathouse to go to sleep. She said she was awakened by a man, identified as Lawrence B. Davis, 34, of 478 Park Ave., who was touching her indecently. She told him to go away, which he did, and she went back to sleep. However, the woman alleged that she was awakened a second time to the man fondling her and again touching her indecently.
The 35-year-old woman said she went to sleep between 2 and 2:30 a.m. on the floor of the boathouse and covered herself with a blanket. She said she felt that someone was touching her and thought it might have been a dream. When she awoke she found her pants were undone and pulled down and Davis lying behind where she had been. The woman said she was assaulted by him.
Davis faces two counts of second degree sexual assault/unconscious victim. If convicted he could face a maximum of $100,000 in fines and 40 years in prison on each charge.
His initial appearance in court is scheduled for 8:15 a.m. Dec. 17.
