Oconomowoc man faces child porn charges

An Oconomowoc man could go to jail for up to 75 years if he gets convicted of the three child pornography charges filed against him in Waukesha County Circuit Court Oct. 24.

James G. Orcholski, 51, was charged after police from Mequon and Oconomowoc executed a search warrant at his Knoll Terrance residence in Oconomowoc as well as at JT Coins. They recovered two laptops, which were later investigated and found to have numerous child pornographic images on them. Some of the images included a child as young as a toddler, while others were of a child between the ages of 6 and 8 years old. A third image involved a child between the ages of 8 and 10 years old, according the criminal complaint.

When questioned by police, Orcholski allegedly admitted to requesting child pornography images from individuals through Yahoo chat rooms. He stated that he would ask for the child pictures and pictures of teens which he described as 16 years old, the criminal complaint alleged.

The complaint continued, and he said he had a medium interest in child sexual images and that what he did was wrong and illegal.

If convicted of all three charges, he faces up to 75 years in prison and $300,000 in fines. A court date had not yet been set.
