Oconomowoc man charged after police find cocaine in home

An Oconomowoc man is facing bail jumping and a felony drug charge after his partner informed police he had been smoking crack cocaine in their home.

The woman reported to City of Oconomowoc Police that her 57-year-old boyfriend had been smoking crack cocaine. She added that this violates the conditions of his bail for domestic battery and disorderly conduct.

The woman gave police permission to search the home they share on Second Street. When police entered the home the man was there, and police explained they were investigate a report that he was using drugs.

The man told police where they would find the drugs in a bathroom cabinet. Police found cocaine and drug paraphernalia. According to a criminal complaint, the man said he knew he shouldn't be using the drugs while out on his bail conditions.

He now faces a felony drug charge for cocaine, misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia and bail jumping. His preliminary hearing is Dec. 6.

He has a hearing Dec. 3 for the domestic abuse and battery charges against his girlfriend, which were filed in June.
