AHS gymnastics team pushes on
Arrowhead's varsity girls gymnastics competed in two three -team events this past week, finishing in third place at Mukwonago with 135.95 behind the Indians and the Franklin/Muskego/Whitnall/Oak Creek co-op.
The Warhawks placed second behind Kenosha with 132.50 on Jan. 31. Kenosha combined scored 136.000 to win, and Waukesha finished in third place at 129.85 points.
Jessica Krause had 9.3 in the floor exercise at Mukwonago, ending up in third place. Devin Conley had 9.1 on the bars, and Brittany McNellis tied for second on vault at 8.9.
Conley was second in the all-around against Kenosha and Waukesha at 35.375. Bridget Pendergast was eighth at 32.425.
Others on the sidelines could be back for the final portion of the season.
"Both Taylor Amann and Haley Dunn should have their MRI results in this week," Arrowhead varsity girls gymnastics coach Bob Pulkowski said. "Jessica Krause's ankle is not broken and she'll be back at full strength."
McNellis has continued to impress.
"Brittany has got her vaults dialed in; she is consistently standing them up and beginning to tweak the little things to push her score total higher," Pulkowski added.
