Senior Lunches 11/11/2009

The senior meal program offers nutritious meals for people 60 and older, as well as educational and recreational programs.

Reservations are required 24 hours in advance, before 1 p.m., by calling the local site, BirchRock Apartments, (262) 363-4458, or the Department of Aging at (262) 548-7826. Meal donations of $4 are suggested.

Meals are served at BirchRock Apartments, 280 BirchRock Way, at 11:45 a.m.

Monday, Nov. 16: Vegetable soup with crackers, mixed vegetable for home delivery, sloppy Joe on bun, au gratin potatoes, lemon bar or fruit

Tuesday, Nov. 17: Navy bean soup with crackers, baked beans for home delivery, shaved hot ham on a kaiser roll, German potato salad, fresh fruit

Wednesday, Nov. 18: Baked fish, baby red potatoes, coleslaw, marble rye and butter, tropical fruit

Thursday, Nov. 19: Beef macaroni casserole, romaine salad, dinner roll, peaches, strawberry or diet gelatin

Friday, Nov. 20: Polish sausage, parsley potatoes, sauerkraut, bread, brownie or lorna doones
