Senior Lunches 02/10/2010
The senior meal program offers nutritious meals for people 60 and older, as well as educational and recreational programs.
Reservations are required 24 hours in advance, before 1 p.m., by calling the local site, BirchRock Apartments, (262) 363-4458, or the Department of Aging at (262) 548-7826. Meal donations of $4 are suggested.
Meals are served at BirchRock Apartments, 280 BirchRock Way, at 11:45 a.m.
Monday, Feb. 15: Turkey a la king over biscuit, sliced carrots, cranberry juice, cherry pie or diet cherry gelatin
Tuesday, Feb. 16: Beef barley soup, mashed potatoes, chicken patty on bun, three-bean salad, fresh fruit, cookie or plain cookie
Wednesday, Feb. 17: Baked fish with tartar sauce, au gratin potatoes, creamy cucumbers, mandarin oranges, lemon pudding or diet pudding
Thursday, Feb. 18: Swiss steak and stewed tomatoes, oven browned potatoes, cheesy cauliflower, whole-grain bread, frosted chocolate cake or plain white cake
Friday, Feb. 19: Vegetarian lasagna, tossed salad, warm breadstick, peaches, bar cookie or fresh fruit
