Senior Lunches 03/17/2010
The senior meal program offers nutritious meals for people 60 and older, as well as educational and recreational programs.
Reservations are required 24 hours in advance, before 1 p.m., by calling the local site, BirchRock Apartments, (262) 363-4458, or the Department of Aging at (262) 548-7826. Meal donations of $4 are suggested.
Meals are served at BirchRock Apartments, 280 BirchRock Way, at 11:45 a.m.
Monday, March 22: Swiss steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, dilled carrots, bread, ice cream cup or diet pudding
Tuesday, March 23: Cream of broccoli soup, crackers, sliced cold turkey on bun, tropical fruit, brownie or diet cookie
Wednesday, March 24: Chicken breast in garlic sauce, rosemary potatoes, mixed vegetables, dinner roll, cherry gelatin with fruit or diet fruited gelatin
Thursday, March 25: Creole beef with crushed tomatoes, egg noodles, green peas, whole wheat bread, fresh fruit, vanilla pudding or diet pudding
Friday, March 26: Baked fish, tartar sauce, baby red potatoes, marinated vegetable salad, rye bread, lemon bar or fresh fruit
