ProHealth Care expands occupational health program
Mukwonago - ProHealth Care announced it is expanding its occupational health and wellness program, ProHealth Works, opening a new clinic at the D.N. Greenwald Center in Mukwonago on Monday, Jan. 7.
The clinic will be staffed by a physician, nurse practitioner, occupational health nurse and an experienced support staff. It will provide a broad range of pre-employment screening services, treat workplace injuries on a walk-in basis, and offer post-injury care. Staff will be available to see employees from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Urgent care is also available during evenings and weekends.
"Our goal is to help employees return to work as soon as it is medicallyappropriate, and work with them to help prevent re-injury," said Laura Radke, MD, ProHealth Works medical director.
Instrument Development Corp., a Mukwonago manufacturing company with 120 employees, is looking forward to saving time and money by utilizing the new location. "We'll be able to send our employees right down the street, which will be much more convenient," said Dani Reitsma, HR manager of Instrument Development Corp.
ProHealth Works promotes the health of workers through preventive medicine, clinical care and education. The program helps businesses minimize lost work time, identify and resolve workplace health issues and institute rehabilitation and return-to-work methods to ensure maximum productivity and safety. According to the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses, poor employee health costs business about $1 trillion a year.
