The pain in his knee still lingers somewhat, but the real ache is how close Ian Cichacki has come to breaking the Mukwonago school record in the 1,600 meters. The drive of one pain cancels out the other.

The Classic 8 Conference has been a hotbed for golf talent over the years, but on Thursday at the league championship held at Washington County Golf Course, there were none better than Evan Owens.

Mukwonago boys track and field coach said his team was looking for a statement-making team total of 200 points in the WIAA Division 1 regional at MHS on Monday. He got what he wanted, plus a couple.

The Mukwonago girls track and field team will be well represented at Thursday's WIAA sectional at Wisconsin Lutheran after performing on its home track Monday in the regional.

Mukwonago winless at subsectional

Mukwonago junior Jake Diesler was scheduled to compete Wednesday in the WIAA Division 1 tennis sectional in Waukesha after officially advancing from the subsectional Monday at the same locale. Diesler (18-1) was awarded a bye in the subsectional by virtue of holding the top seed in the draw and did not have to play a match.

Tuttle, Magolan lift MHS past South

Mukwonago's girls soccer team showed it was prepared for a physical battle with Waukesha South on May 15, bullying through for a 4-1 win in the Classic 8 Conference. Coach John Spielmann said his team took some pointers from its physical 1-1 tie with Oconomowoc the preceding week.

Mukwonago lacrosse teams in action

The Mukwonago girls lacrosse team fell to Kettle Moraine on May 17, 15-4. Hannah Schultz scored twice, with additional goals from Lindsay Manthei and Carly Wierzbinski.

Diesler back atop C8 tennis mountain

Jake Diesler repeated as Classic 8 Conference champion at No. 1 singles, leading the Indians at the Classic 8 Conference meet Saturday in Waukesha.

Owens medals at mini meet for MHS

Evan Owens came away with a medalist round of 36 Wednesday at Bristlecone Pines, and the Mukwonago boys golf team took fourth place with a score of 169 in the Classic 8 Conference mini meet.

Mukwonago softball team sweeps through week

With three victories in the last three outings, the Mukwonago varsity softball team is finishing with a flurry.

Soccer team grabs win, tie

Jenny Tuttle had two goals, and Rachel Snyder scored a goal for Mukwonago's varsity girls soccer team in a 3-1 Classic 8 Conference victory at Milwaukee Pius on May 8.
