i'VE FALLEN - Construction crews and a driver from Ken Weber Towing work on getting an excavator that fell through the ice at the Sugar Island boat launch out of the water Tuesday afternoon on Lower Nemahbin Lake. The backhoe fell through the ice while workers were trying to perform excavation work at a house on the island in the middle of the lake. No one was injured in the incident.

WORKING IT OUT - A member of a construction crew that had their machine break through the ice on Lower Nemahbin Lake Tuesday afternoon, works on securing chains to the excavator so it could be pulled free from the ice. The backhoe was doing work on a house on the island when it fell through the ice. The Town of Summit does not allow vehicles on the ice, but made an exception for the backhoe to perform the work.
