Bicyclist released after weekend accident

 A 12-year-old Oconomowoc boy was released from the hospital over the weekend after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bike at Forest and State Streets   on Saturday.

 
According to the police report, Paul Joseph Breznik-Pavlovich, 604 Juneau Ave.,  was riding his bike southbound on State Street at 4 p.m., and failed to obey a stop sign. The boy proceeded into oncoming traffic and collided with a vehicle driven by Fred H. Bomberg, Sr., 71, of Hartland.
 
The boy, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken by Flight for Life to Children’s Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle was not cited in the incident.
