Input sought on Highway 67 project

Feb. 17 meeting will present final design, answer questions

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southeast Regional Office in Waukesha will hold a public information meeting to discuss roadway improvements to Highway 67 from the Oconomowoc Bypass to the north county line in the Town of Oconomowoc.

The meeting is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at the Oconomowoc Town Hall, W359 N812 Brown St.

The purpose of this meeting is to present the final design of the Highway 67 project, review proposed roadway improvements, and to obtain input. The meeting will be conducted in an open house format with project exhibits on display for review. Personnel from the DOT will be available to provide information and answer questions.

Persons with a concern for or knowledge about historical or archaeological resources, drainage problems, or environmental issues such as hazardous wastes and underground storage tanks are encouraged to attend this meeting and provide information to the design team.

Participants will be able to provide written or verbal comments to the project staff during the meeting.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, or would like more information, contact Gary Metzer, WisDOT project manager at (262) 548-5685. Written comments regarding the project can be mailed to Gary Metzer, WisDOT, 141 NW Barstow Street, Waukesha, WI 53187.

The Oconomowoc Town Hall is wheelchair accessible. Hearing-impaired citizens may request an interpreter by contacting Brian Pluemer at least three working days prior to the meeting via the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay system, (800) 947-3529.
