Meet the candidates
LHO and Greener Oconomowoc host mayoral/aldermanic forum
The residents of Lutheran Homes of Oconomowoc, and Greener Oconomowoc are co-hosting a forum at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 25 at the Lake Terrace Clubhouse. The Clubhouse is part of the independent living apartment complex at 1380 W. Wisconsin Ave.
Constituents of two races will participate in the forum, to include two mayoral candidates and District 1 aldermanic candidates. Candidates include incumbent Mayor Maury Sullivan and challenger James Daley; and District 1 aldermanic contestants Jim Hall, John Haumschild and Richard Pas. All candidates have accepted invitations to participate. The City of Oconomowoc election takes place Tuesday, April 6. Rick Ornberg of Ixonia will serve as moderator.
Candidates will offer opening statements, and will respond to two prescribed questions. They will then respond to written questions from the audience. Responses will be limited to two minutes per candidate with warnings issued at 30 seconds remaining. Participants are invited to consult with each candidate individually following the forum.
Lutheran Homes of Oconomowoc is a not-for-profit corporation, serving 500 seniors and employing 350 staff on the shores of Lac La Belle. Its mission is to provide homes and services for seniors in a manner that reflects Christ's love. The continuing care retirement campus offers skilled, assisted and independent living. LHO also offers services to keep people independent and at home in its Lake Country Life Enrichment and public Lake Country Café, Mobile Meals, Helping Hands, and Adult Day Center services.
Greener Oconomowoc is a non-profit organization. Greener Oconomowoc's mission is to provide the Oconomowoc Area with a healthy community, a
healthy economy and a healthy environment through the understanding and implementation of the Natural Step principles.
