Veolia sponsors LCO concert
Working with the Oconomowoc Chamber Orchestra (OCO), Veolia Environmental Services North America Corp. (VESNA) has announced the 2011 Lake Country Orchestra (LCO) holiday concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, at the Oconomowoc Arts Center, 641 E. Forest Drive.
This year's program features holiday classic repertoires from Frescobaldi, Kay, Copeland, Tchaikovsky and Anderson. The orchestra will perform under the direction of Robert Ignaszak and Jim Skaleski.
The LCO is the amateur ensemble of the Oconomowoc Chamber Orchestra (OCO), whose mission is to provide the local arts community with an opportunity to enrich Lake Country with engaging music performance.
"We are very proud to be a sponsor of the Lake Country Orchestra and lend our support to this year's holiday concert," said Roger Koehler, VP of Purchasing for VESNA. "The holiday season is a perfect time for our company to back an organization that contributes so much culture to our community.""We're fortunate to have an extended community of passionate musicians from near and far that come together to perform. The holiday concert features both American classics and holiday fare and captures the spirit of Christmas for an audience of all ages," said OCO Music Director, Roberta Carpenter.
Tickets are now available at www.lakecountryorchestra.org or at the Oconomowoc Arts Center. Cost: $11; service fees may apply.
