Pergande resigns from Butler Police Department

Village of Butler — Days before a scheduling hearing in front of a retired Waukesha County judge was set, a Butler police officer with sweeping allegations against him has resigned from his position.

Schimel: Pergande deal still on

Waukesha — Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel said he is still willing to accept a plea agreement from former Butler Police Lt. Brian Pergande even though Waukesha County Circuit Court Judge Donald J. Hassin Jr turned down a previous agreement reached between Schimel and Pergande's attorney Michael Steinle.

Bug Line surface work will continue this year

Village of Sussex — Contractors for Waukesha County Parks and Land Use are working on the second phase of a $2.8 million project to widen and resurface the Bug Line Recreational Trail, which will eventually extend 14 miles from near North Lake east to Menomonee Falls.

The North Lisbon School, which ran from 1845 to 1975, recently held an all-school reunion at Lisbon Town Hall and Park on Woodside Road, spearheaded by brothers Lee and Thomas Rolfs. Lee Rolfs, who attended the second and third school buildings from 1958 to 1963, lives in retirement in Sussex.
