ProHealth implements record system
Waukesha - ProHealth Care recently announced implementation of a new electronic medical record system that will outfit each ProHealth patient with a single comprehensive medical record that reflects the patient's entire health care experience. The system documents every illness, every treatment and every recovery, providing information on medications, allergies, chronic conditions, diagnostic tests and much more - all collected in one place and always up to date.
The medical information is secure and private, but accessible to all of the professionals who need it. The system also gives patients a new tool to help them manage their health care. Called ProHealth Care MyChart, a free online service allows patients to view their own medical records, stay in touch with their doctor through a secure email connection, request an appointment, request a prescription renewal and more.
More information about ProHealth's new technology is available at www.prohealthcare.org.
Animal Clinic receives top accreditation
Animal Clinic in Sussex, N64 W24280 Main St., has again received accreditation following a comprehensive evaluation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). The evaluation includes a quality assessment review of the hospital's facility, medical equipment, practice methods and pet health care management.
Only 15 percent of all small animal veterinary practices in the U.S. have achieved accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association. In order to maintain accredited status, Animal Clinic in Sussex must continue to be evaluated regularly by the association's consultants.
"AAHA hospitals pass a stringent evaluation of over 900 standards covering patient care, client service and medical protocols," says Gregg Takashima, DVM, AAHA president. By attaining accreditation, Animal Clinic in Sussex is demonstrating its dedication to offering the best care to its patients and clients."
Out of approximately 21,000 small animal veterinary practices only 3,200 pass regular reviews of AAHA's stringent accreditation standards.
Animal Clinic in Sussex has been an accredited practice member of the association for 28 years.
