Shorewest spreads Christmas spirit
On Saturday, Dec. 3, sales associates and employees from the Shorewest, Realtors family of companies gathered at Sussex Hamilton High School to share the spirit of the season with approximately 400 southeastern-Wisconsin youth painting faces, eating food and having fun. Plus, Santa Claus and his elves made a surprise visit to give gifts, hats, mittens and cookies to the children.
Annually, people in the Shorewest family of companies give thousands of dollars and hours to Christmas is for Kids. That money and time provides books throughout the year, back-to-school supplies in the fall and the holiday party. The company also held a coat drive, collecting coats, snow pants and boots for area children. Christmas is for Kids is for children of every background and every southeastern Wisconsin neighborhood whose families could use a little help during the holidays. Shorewest began the event in 1984.
Keeping the lights on with
We Energies
Milwaukee - For the seventh time in the past 10 years, We Energies has won the ReliabilityOne award in the Midwest for superior reliability of its electric system. The award is based on the company's performance for 2010 and is given annually by PA Consulting Group to the utilities that have excelled in delivering the most reliable electric service to their customers.
All utilities operating electric delivery networks in North America are eligible for the ReliabilityOne award. The selection is based primarily on reliability statistics that measure the frequency and duration of customer outages. After provisional recipients are identified, each potential winner undergoes an on-site certification.
We Energies has made significant investments in recent years to strengthen the reliability of its network, rebuild hundreds of miles of distribution lines and trim thousands of trees to keep branches from coming into contact with power lines.
