Candidates file for spring municipal election
The deadline to file for the spring municipal and school elections was 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2. Here's who you can expect to see on the ballot:
Towns
Lisbon
Town chairman and four supervisor seats, all with two-year term, are at stake.
Town Chairman: Matt Gehrke (inc.), W277 N8664 Tamarack Road.
Supervisor No. 4 Joseph Osterman (inc.), N51 W 24181 Lisbon Road Former Town Supervisor Wendy Landry, N94 W 25172 Norwauk Road, and Hannah Heinritz, N95 W22107 County Line Road, are seeking the supervisor No. 2 seat. Incumbent Dan Heier is not seeking re-election.
Supervisor seat No. 3 was vacated by the resignation of Dan Fischer. Candidates for the seat have until Jan. 11 to file their petition.
Villages
Village of Sussex
Village president and three trustee positions, each with two year terms, are at stake.
Village President: Greg Goetz (inc.), N61 W 2422 Oak Court
Trustee Jason Wegner (inc.), W238 N6449 Elmwood Ave.
Trustee: Tim Dietrich (inc.), N60 W 22995 Silver Spring Drive
Matt Petricca of N59 W24761 Quail Run Lane has also filed candidacy petitions. Incumbent Trustee Jim Batzko is not seeking reelection.
Lannon
Village president and three trustee positions, each with two-year terms, are at stake.
Village President: Jerry Newman (inc.) PO Box 375, David Nagler, 21765 W. Bonnie Lane
Village Trustee: Scott Balsiger (inc.) 21936 W. Good Hope Road, David Bartelt (inc.), 7282 Vine St., Janice Manor-Schmidt (inc.) 20393 W. Good Hope Road, David Nagler, 21765 W. Bonnie Lane and Thomas Gudex, 7051 Parkview Drive
Butler
Village president and three trustee positions, each with two-year terms, are at stake.
Village president: Richard A. Ensslin (inc.) 12805 W. Colfax Place, Susan C. Hesselgrave, 4619 N. 127 St.
Village trustee: William C. Benjamin (inc.) 12920 W. Hampton Ave., Paul Kasdorf, 12753 W. Eggert Place, Michael T. Thew Sr. (inc.) 4903 N. 126th St., and Walter J. Woloszyk (inc.) 13101 W. Fairmont Ave.
Schools
Hamilton School District
Two board seats each with two-year terms are at stake.
