Christ the King Church of Delafield Announces Vacation Bible School Schedule
“Shake It Up Café! -- Where Kids Carry Out God’s Recipe” is the theme of Vacation Bible School 2011 hosted by Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1600 Genesee Street, Delafield, and All Saints Lutheran Church, 705 W. Tomlin Road, Wales. Registration forms are available at the church offices or on the website at www.ctkdelafield.org.
“Shake It Up Café!” Session I will be held June 13 to 17, from noon to 3 p.m., at Christ the King in Delafield. Session II will take place July 26 to 28, from 5 to 8 p.m., at All Saints in Wales. The cost is $5 to participate in one or both sessions and includes lunch or dinner and a snack. A student take-home music and game CD is available for an additional $5. Each session will follow the same theme, but offer variations on the activities offered.
Designed for children in preschool through fifth grade, religious-based activities are cooking themed and will include “Tangy & Tart” arts and crafts, “Wok & Roll” music, a Bible Bistro, and others.
An ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) church, Christ the King has nearly 1,000 parishioners and welcomes new members. A special Saturday service is held each Saturday at 5 p.m., in addition to the regular summer Sunday morning service at 9 a.m.
