Hamilton Graduate Top Finalist for Young Nonprofit Leader of the Year

Madison – Wisconsin Alliance for Women’s Health Founder and Executive Director, Sara Finger, has been named as one of the top 25 emerging leaders competing for the CLASSY Young Nonprofit Leader of the Year Award. Her nomination is in recognition of her unprecedented and effective work to create an environment in which all Wisconsin women at every stage of life can realize their optimal health and well-being.

 

 

 

The CLASSY Awards is the largest philanthropic awards ceremony in the country, recognizing the most outstanding philanthropic achievements by charities, businesses and individuals nationwide. Out of hundreds of initial qualifiers, judges determined that Sara’s achievement was one that stood out as one of the most inspiring and impactful. Sara is currently in 4th place out of the top 25 finalist.

 

 

 

Women’s health supporters are encouraging individuals from across the state to cast their vote for Sara and help support her work to raise the status of Wisconsin women’s health. The deadline for voting is Friday, August 26th.

 

 

 

As noted in her nomination, “In founding the Wisconsin Alliance for Women’s Health, Sara Finger recognized a unique opportunity to raise awareness, build support and create an alliance to ensure the women of Wisconsin have the opportunity to be their healthiest. She has educated healthcare providers, empowered rape victims and trained teenagers to speak out for healthier lives. Sara was born in Milwaukee and graduated from Hamilton High School in Sussex. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from UW Eau Claire and has lived in Madison for the past 12 years.
