Skylight Music Theatre features two Hartland youth in The Sound of Music

Premiering for the first time in Skylight Music Theatre’s 54 year history is the beloved musical, The Sound of Music, the true story of the von Trapp Family singers complete with cherished Rogers and Hammerstein melodies. Skylight’s production of the classic musical will feature the largest cast to date with a total of 62 members. Twenty-three of those members are youth actors from the local Milwaukee area including one from Hartland.

Cole Winston (Friedrich) – Cole returns to the Skylight after playing Winthrop last season in The Music Man. Earlier this year Cole had the understudy of Jem in To Kill a Mockingbird at the Milwaukee Rep and has been in First Stage theatre productions since 2010. In addition to acting and vocal performance, Cole enjoys music, golf, and schnitzel with noodles.

Justin Ellings (Kurt) – Justin is so excited to be back at Skylight after an exciting debut last year in The Music Man. This 12 year old's impressive resume includes performances in Oliver! (Oliver Twist), Beauty and the Beast (Chip), Brigadoon (Frank/Robert) and Robin Hood (Little John). Singing, acting and dancing are a just a few of his favorite things!

The show will run from November 16 to December 31 in the Cabot Theatre. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Skylight box office at 414-291-7800 or online at www.skylightmusictheatre.org. Filled with childhood favorites like “Do-Re-Mi”, “My Favorite Things” and “Edelweiss”, The Sound of Music is the perfect family show for the holiday season!
